ASKED

QUESTIONS

Where Are You Registered?

We aren't! We truly have everything we need and do not expect wedding gifts. That said, we know we have some generous family and friends that won't take "no" for an answer! If you would like to make a donation in our names to one of our favorite local nonprofits, please check out New Children's Museum and/or Diversionary Theater. If you want to contribute to our honeymoon fund, please head to Honeyfund. (We're saving for a trip to Mexico City!)

Can I Bring a Plus-One?

Your paper wedding invitation that you received in the mail indicated (on the envelope) if we have space for you to bring a guest. If you would like to bring a plus-one, you can indicate so when you RSVP. If you aren't sure, please reach out.

Is YourWedding Kid-Friendly?

We adore all the kiddos in our lives—especially yours! That said, the wedding weekend is an adults-only event and Dive Palm Springs is an adults-only venue. If you do plan to have your children with you in Palm Springs (for example, as part of their fall break), please reach out and we can help you with childcare options. Also, please ensure you book a kid-friendly hotel, as many Palm Springs hotels are adult-only.

Can You Accommodate my Dietary Needs?

As vegans, we know how hard it can be to get food at a wedding! We will do our best to accommodate your dietary needs, as long as you indicate those needs when you RSVP. If things change, please reach out to us directly so we can alert our chef. Both dinners (the wedding meal on Friday, October 10th and the pizza party on Saturday, October 11th) will have vegan and non-vegan options.

Can I Take Photos and Videos?

Our preference is that you put your phones and cameras away and just enjoy the weekend with us. We have great photographers who will be capturing the event and we will post those photos on this site after the wedding. That said, we know it can be fun to take your own photos and videos. If you do, we simply ask you do not post them to social media.

When Should I Arrive in Palm Springs?

Please plan to arrive in Palm Springs no later than the afternoon of Friday, October 10th so that you can check in at your hotel, get ready, and arrive at the wedding Venue, Dive Palm Springs, by 5pm Pacific Time.

When Does the Wedding Begin and End?

We know it's a little unusual to have a "wedding weekend," but that's the plan! Everyone will arrive at Dive Palm Springs for a welcome champagne (or non-alcoholic option) at 5pm on Friday, October 10th. The wedding celebrations will be from 5-10pm on Friday evening, and will re-start again on Saturday evening at 6pm for our pizza party and movie night (again at Dive Palm Springs).

What Nights Should I Book the Hotel For?

We recommend that you check into your hotel on Friday, October 10th and check out on Sunday, October 12th. Most hotels allow a 3 or 4pm check in, which should give you time to settle in and then get to the wedding events at Dive Palm Springs by 5:30pm. You will have free time during the day on Saturday, October 11th (with an optional tour), with wedding events starting up again that evening at 6pm at Dive Palm Springs and ending by about 10pm. There is nothing scheduled on Sunday, October 12th, so most guests will wake up and depart that morning.

What if I Want to Stay Longer?

Some of our guests will elect to come to Palm Springs early and/or stay on after the wedding weekend. That's fantastic! There is so much to do in the desert—or even just in Palm Springs itself! If you need ideas or suggestions about extending your stay, please reach out and we can help.

Is it Going to be 100 Degrees Out?

That's unlikely, though anything is possible! It's important to know that all of our wedding events will be outdoors. Weather in the desert can be quite hot, even in October, so please check the forecast and plan accordingly. Most often, October brings daytime temperatures in the 80s and 90s and nighttime temperatures in the 60s and 70s.

What Should I Wear?

We want you to look great and feel comfortable. We have a whole section on this on the home page! Check it out here

Do I Have to Swim?

Not at all! There is absolutely no pressure to get in the pool. Whether you're more of a "sit in the shade and read a novel" person, a "sip a cocktail poolside" person, or just not feeling it, that is 100% okay with us. We do want to assure our guests that if you do decide you'd like to swim, you will find our wedding to be a body-positive environment. We think all bodies are sexy!

Can I Use the Pool at Dive Palm Springs?

Whether or not you are staying at Dive Palm Springs, the property (with all its 1960s French Riviera charm) will be available to wedding guests from 5pm on Friday, October 10th and all day and night on Saturday, October 11th. That means you are welcome to use the pool or lounge poolside at Dive Palm Springs during the day on Saturday, October 11th if you wish. Most Palm Springs hotels have fantastic pools and amenities, but if you're looking to spend time with other wedding guests, Dive Palm Springs is the place to be. â€‹

What Airport Should I Fly Into?

The Palm Springs airport is small, accessible, and easy; we recommend flying into Palm Springs if you can. If you fly into LAX or San Diego (or any other Southern CA airports), you are likely to need a rental car. The drive from LAX to Palm Springs is approximately 2.5 hours, as is the drive from SAN to Palm Springs. If you need help thinking about travel arrangements, please reach out.

Is There Parking at the Venue?

Dive Palm Springs does have limited parking. There is also nearby street parking. If you are not staying at Dive Palm Springs, we do recommend walking or taking and Uber/Lyft to and from the venue so that there are enough parking spaces for those who need them. Transportation is not provided to and from Dive Palm Springs.

Is There an Open Bar?

We know this is on some of your minds! Yes, there is an open bar featuring signature cocktails, beer, and wine both evenings: Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11th. For our guests who do not drink alcohol, there will be non-alcoholic beer, seltzers, soda, and water available.

What Movie Are We Watching?

We are still deciding which movie to watch on Saturday, October 11th! Do you have an idea? Please reach out and let us know. We are especially interested in movies set in Palm Springs or that have a midcentury modern or French Riviera feel.

Other Questions?

Please reach out to us directly and we'll answer any and all questions you have along the way! We can't wait to welcome you to our little oasis in the desert!
